This size battery pack is found in many different types of devices; we sometimes see it in car battery booster packs and computer battery-backup uninterruptible power supplies, as well as mobility scooters and powered chairs, sometimes in pairs to make 24-volt. The make-up of the cells is VRLA or valve-regulated lead-acid, which is combined with absorbed glass mat technology or AGM, to create a battery that will not leak even if mounted on its side. This makes it suitable for portable use as well as fixed mains, and because it is also non-hazardous, it is safe to use indoors, outdoors, and on public transport.

This product is recyclable, when it has eventually reached the end of its life please ensure it is diverted to a recycle centre for processing, it has a high lead content which is perfect for the process.
Charging this type of battery is important. If you are using it in a portable device such as a mobility scooter, charge it fully before first use and after each use. You do not want them sitting around in a partially discharged state any longer than necessary, and if not being used for long periods, charge every 8 weeks to keep the cells fresh.
