They require zero maintenance beyond a good charging regime to keep them in top condition for as long as possible. We would recommend that upon delivery of the batteries they are given a top up charge until they are full, this will not take long as they will have close to full charge before dispatch. The next important takeaway is to never leave them discharged; therefore, charging after every use is essential.
Please note that it will take up to fifteen charges and uses in your mobility scooter before the 8GU1H batteries are able to reach full capacity. This is very normal and part of the conditioning process that all GEL batteries undergo at the start of their lives.
