The standard fit is for a pair of 12v 50Ah batteries. They are located under the front cowling below the seat. This is an easy-access cover, and full instructions are printed on the cover on how to remove them, making the job even easier. Remember. However, although the batteries are easy to install yourself, they are quite heavy, so be mindful of this when replacing them.
Although the batteries need no maintenance throughout their life, they do need to be kept charged. Ensure the batteries are fully charged before you use your scooter, charge after every use, and do not try to run the batteries down, as this can shorten their life and even damage them. If you are not using them for long periods, charge them at least once every 6 weeks to arrest the natural self-discharge that will occur.
