East Penn, the parent company of MK Powered, manufactures the 8G27 heavy-duty battery in the USA. They are sealed lead, non-spillable, non-hazardous, and require no maintenance; they have a high ampere rating and an excellent reputation for being long-lasting.
They are used in a wide variety of heavy-draw applications, from commercial floor-cleaning machines and solar storage to electric vehicles, including mobility.
Although they will have a substantial charge upon delivery, you should still charge them before first use and after every use. If the battery will not be used for six weeks, give it a top-up charge to keep the cells fresh.
