Electric Mobility is a leading scooter manufacturer and well known in the disability world. The Rascal-Vantage is a high-spec compact, robust electric vehicle with many features standard. These features include, but are not limited to, a fold-down backrest, a detachable storage basket, modern delta handlebars, and extremely smooth, user-friendly controls. The Rascal-Vantage-X only improves upon this with a faster speed setting and an upgraded captain’s seat. Both scooters require high-quality sealed batteries, and that’s exactly what we offer.

How to charge and maintain scooter batteries?
When you receive your new batteries, they will be more or less fully charged; however, you still need to complete this charge before first use and, most importantly, after every use. Never leave them in a discharged state. If you aren’t going to use the scooter for long periods, charge every 4 weeks to slow the natural self-discharge rate.
Installation.
The batteries are stored underneath your seat, and accessing them is fairly simple: turn the seat a quarter turn using the lever below the seat. The seat can then be moved forward/backwards, and the cowling can be removed to reveal a pair of batteries. Carefully remove these batteries and replace them with new ones, and that's it. If you are unable to do this, please seek advice from a professional who can assist.
Looking to upgrade to a higher ampere for additional range?
Although the 50-ampere batteries on offer here are top quality, upgrades are available that will allow you to travel further between charges. More importantly, you'll have more capacity left at the end of a day’s run, which will lengthen the battery's overall life because it will not be so deeply discharged; these are called GEL. Also, if you often run the battery below 50% of its capacity, then a lithium set-up may be beneficial to you, as it can be run down to 100% without adverse effects and is good for 5000 charges, ten times more than the standard lead-acid.
Can this scooter take more than one size battery?
Please note that the standard Vantage can also take the smaller, cheaper 35Ah batteries we can supply; however, for the Vantage-X, we only recommend the 50Ah. You can find the link for the 35-ampere battery on the Alternatives tab.
