Installing the batteries is not a difficult job and is well within the capabilities of most people. Please refer to your manual for the procedure. They are designed to be replaced. The ones we send to you will be almost fully charged, but the UPS will still complete a service charge upon installation.

It would not be unreasonable to expect the batteries to last between 2 and 5 years in this APC UPS; however, usage will determine this. Supplying adequate ventilation is important. The batteries are used continuously; the hotter they get, the shorter their lifespan. Please avoid overloading with too many devices; keep the load below 40%.
