Below you will find details of the new batteries you will need to replace in your APC BF200 UPS system. Installing the batteries is not difficult. You should refer to your manual for the full method. Once you have them in the system, they will be fully charged. Even though they will come out to you almost charged, they will still need to complete this task. With this in mind, it follows that there is a period during which the system is unable to offer its full runtime protection while it is doing this. Our best advice is to start the system without any load until it's fully charged, if you have the opportunity; it helps it reset to a new energy level properly.
Battery life expectancy is between two to five years in this UPS, this will be dependant the use your put it to, supplying adequate ventilation is important, the batteries are being continuously used the hotter they get the shorter the life span, to get a long battery life you should try to keep the load below 40%, its capable much more but the pay off will be battery life.
These batteries are very resilient and can be mounted on the side without any issues, no leaking, which means they can be used in tower or rack-mountable situations. They are the recommended VRLA type and benefit from AGM technology they are safe for use in critical environments.
