The Merits S-541 is a compact micro mobility scooter with a top speed of 4.5 mph, it has a pair of wheels at the front close together to give it the manoeuvrability of a three wheeler but the stability of a four wheeled version. It would generally be used as a second scooter for convenience of the user and suitable for indoor as well as outdoor use, the former particularly as due to its narrow frame is able to fit through most doors.

There are two batteries in this set.
Even though the batteries you receive from us will be almost fully charged you should still charge before first use, just charge them until your charger indicate that they are ready, while you may well be tempted just to fit them and go it's well worth waiting that short period to set them up in the right way before you start.
You may notice that it will take up to ten charges and associated use in your device before the batteries are capable of taking a few capacity charge, this is normal, after you have used your equipment you should put it back on charge as soon as you are able, do not leave it sitting around in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary, fully discharging your batteries will reduce the overall life span and they will need changing earlier, if you are not using them for long periods then recharge every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time.
The battery cells are constructed using absorbed glass mat technology or probably better known as AGM, they are also valve regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA, this is the recommended type of battery for this installation, they will not leak if mounted on the side so safe to be used indoors without the fear of spillage and suitable for electric powered vehicles.
