This listing is for a pack of two 12v 51ah GEL batteries which are manufactured in the USA in accordance with the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS). They are sealed, not spill-able and require zero maintenance (apart from a good charging regime), which means they are safe for public transport including air travel but you should of course inform the airline when you book your ticket.

Installation of your batteries will not be overly complicated and you should check your manual for detailed instructions on how to do this although it usually involves taking the seat off or pushing it forward to find the battery casing, removing it from the machine and undoing the screws. Once you are at this stage it’s just a matter of carefully removing the old battery and installing the new one in its place.
All rechargeable batteries need some sort or care and these are no exception, they should be fully charged before first use which shouldn’t take long as they will be delivered to you almost fully charged and charged after each and every use back up to maximum. Please note it will take several uses and charges in your mobility scooter before the batteries will show a full capacity charge, this is normal.
These batteries are recyclable so once you have finished with them please ensure it gets directed to a recycle centre where they can extract the valuable lead to be used in another product.
