There are two batteries in this set, they are 12v and combine to produce 24v as needed in this mobility scooter, they are valve regulated sealed lead acid along with having the benefit of absorbed glass matt technology or AGM, this means they need no maintenance, they will not spill even if mounted on the side and safe for travelling with.
The batteries will come out to you almost fully charged but you should still charge when they arrive and first use, the best way to look after them it to charge after every single use, it will do them no good whatsoever if you leave them in a discharged state for also longer than absolutely necessary.
Valve regulated lead acid battery (VRLA).
