When your order is delivered to you the batteries will be almost fully charged, but you still need to complete a full charge them before first use, you do not need to leave it on for hours on end, just until the charger has indicated that it has finished, make sure you do not miss the initial charge, doing so may reduce overall life expectancy
Most users will not even notice but it will take a number of charges and associated use in your equipment before they are capable of accepting a full capacity charge, this is quite normal and part of the conditioning process, you should fully charge your batteries as soon as you can after every use, do not leave them sitting in a semi discharged state any period unless necessary, never try to discharge the batteries, with this type of technology it will only mean a shorter life, it is important to keep a charge in the batteries for long life, so if there is any period of time where they are not being used then charge before hand and top this up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours
These 12-volt batteries are valve regulated and AGM or absorbed glass mat, not need for any liquid as the acid is held within the glass mat, this means they will not spill and not-hazardous so safe for use around the home and or travelling, even aeroplanes but you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight, they are deep cycle which would be required in this sort of application
