After you have made and unpacked your new battery from us you will note that they will have a good charge in them, regardless of this you should still complete a full maintenance charge before first use, if it's going into a device that is always connected to the mains and has its own charging circuit like a battery backup for monitoring or alarm system then you can miss this step as it will do it for you, your charger will indicate to you when it has completed this first charge, it will probably not take very long depending on the charger, the light will generally change to indicate its ready, do not just fit them without this initial charge, it will not take long anyway, it will not take long as it is almost fully charged anyway and it may help to extend the battery life overall
