Once you have received the batteries from us and when its convenient to shut down your computers, remove the UPS and unplug from mains, normally there will be a couple of finger holds either side of the front panel for you to pull the front panel off with a forward and downward action. This will leave the front panel attached by only a flat ribbon cable making it easy to put out of the way, what you will see now is two Phillips screws holding on the battery door, remove these, pull the door down and un-hinge from the bottom out of the way, you will now be able to pull out the batteries.
This will have a plug on them by undoing this is will be easier to work on the batteries on a desk making it a little more comfortable, there maybe a cover on to release this-to expose the cable connections, just put these on the new batteries, you can if you wish attach the batteries together with a suitable pad or glue to make them easier to handle when you put then, but this is not necessary then just put the battery pack back in the Smart-UP 700XL making sure you're attach the cable connector, it will only connect one way.
Once you have put all the covers back on it may be wise to power up with out any load to give the UPS a chance to fully charge before first use, this will not take long as the batteries would have come to you almost fully charged.
