Leoch DJW12-28 battery replacement AGM
Compatible replacement for Leoch DJW12-28, rechargeable sealed lead acid battery dispatched from UK warehouse.
The battery we will be supplying has bolt down terminals rather than upright terminals. However, this shouldn’t be a problem, as when replacing the battery you can easily adjust the wires into a new position. New bolts and washers will be provided to accommodate for the different terminal type.
Batteries are designed to be replaced; however you can take precautions to avoid replacing them more than necessary. We recommend charging your battery after every use until your charger indicates it is fully charged. Once it is fully charged, remove the charger as leaving it on charge for prolonged periods can cause damage. Additionally, if you’re not currently using your device, we recommend giving it a top-up charge every month or so to keep the cells fresh.
As this is a sealed lead acid battery, it can take up to ten charge cycles for it to reach full capacity. This means with each charge cycle, the battery will last slightly longer. However, this won’t be too noticeable, and will still be a significant improvement immediately if your old battery is noticeably deteriorating.
Your old battery should be disposed of at your local recycling centre, where they can properly recycle it for its different materials.
