The Locomotor Escort 160 provides an especially high lift, making it ideal for lifting patients off high beds and pressure relieving mattresses. The hoist has a safe working load of 160kg, though it has been tested up to 220kg. The hoist lacks the bells and whistles many other hoists have, this allows it to excel in its purpose as a hoist.

Replacing your batteries is a simple task; in most cases, all you need is a screwdriver and 20 minutes of your time. Replace one battery at a time so you don’t get confused with the wiring. We recommend taking a photo of the wiring before attempting to replace the batteries.
Ensure that your hoist is functional when you need it by charging your battery regularly. Charge after every use until full, and when not in use, charge at least once a month. By doing this, you’ll prolong the life of your new battery as much as possible. Damage is done to a battery when it is in a discharged state, so don’t leave it uncharged for long. Once the charger indicates the hoist is fully charged, take the charger off it.
Your new battery will come fully charged. However, as is the case with sealed lead acid batteries, they require around 10 charging cycles to reach their full capacity. Your old battery should be taken to your local recycling centre, where it can be properly recycled for its different materials.
