Fitment of the RBC31 is very easy. They go into the tray. Changing the cables one at a time is probably best, so you do not mix them up. Perhaps taking a picture, so you have a reference. Although not something that everyone does, we would recommend that the system be run up without any load to begin with to give the batteries time to get a total capacity charge. This also resets them to the system better. If you get the chance, it's better to do this for 24hrs. Doing so may reap benefits in the future.
These batteries are valve-regulated and sealed and have glass mat inserts to hold the acid, so they cannot leak. Completely safe to mount on the side and not hazardous, lending them to be very suitable for UPS systems in data centres for essential equipment in rack-mounted or tower components. Changing the batteries is easy. Slide the tray out and change the batteries one at a time. It's a five-minute job. These cells are hot-swapped capable.
