Replacement APC Smart-UPS 1500va battery pack for the SUA1500 taking module, hot-swap capable sealed lead batteries at very low competitive price.
This is a popular UPS system the but there are many APC Smart-UPS 1500 versions, the best way to confirm you are ordering the correct battery set is to have a look on the reverse of your system it should state SUA1500, if it says something else then put that code in the search bar above to ensure you are getting the right ones, the batteries are expected to have a life span of between two to five years but this will be very dependant on out side factors such as level of continual load and ample ventilation
Ensure you site your system where it can breath do not block the vents, another factor is dust, use a vacuum to remove the particles from the vented area as it will end up on the fan blades reducing there ability to keep a flow of air through the machine, the result of build up is it will run hotter and thus reducing battery life, in a ideal world the environment should be dust free and climate controlled.
Batteries are easy to fit, you will nothing more than a screw driver and maybe a pair of pliers, you can refer to manual for full details but a brief outline would be as follows
First shut down any equipment connected to your APC Smart-UPS, then the system itself and remove all power supplies including the mains lead from the wall socket. Pull down and forward the front cover of your UPS which will just clip off, sometimes a flat edge may be required if you cannot get good leverage with your finger nails, it will be connected to the main box by a ribbon lead giving you plenty of room to move it aside. you will be presented with two Phillips screws, undo these and the battery door will fold down, you can then see the batteries, pull them out and swap over the leads to the new batteries and put back together, a very simple and quick job.
We recommend powering up the system without any load to start until the batteries are fully charged, it will not take that long as the batteries will come out to you nearly fully charged, this will help reset the UPS system and let it know it has new batteries.
