When you receive your order from us your new batteries will be almost fully charged but you will still need to complete the charge before first use, you do not need to leave it on for hours on end, just until the charger has indicated that it has finished, make sure you do not miss the initial charge, doing so may reduce overall life expectancy
You may not notice it but it will probably take a few charges and use in your equipment before you are able to receive a full capacity charge in your batteries, this is quite a normal part of the conditioning process, ensure that after every use that you put the batteries back on charge, letting them sit in a partially discharged state is not wise, never try to discharge the batteries all the way down, this will only reduce the life span and cost you money in the long run, If there are extended periods where the batteries are not being used then ensure they are fully charged beforehand then recharged every four weeks but you should not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours
These are 12-volt valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak they are both AGM and VRLA, of course they are the required deep cycle kind and they are not-hazardous so safe for on the road and indoors as well as travelling by aeroplane, but of course you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight
Check the code on your mobility equipment carefully to ensure you are ordering the correct battery set as many of them have very similar names of codes, if in doubt you could check the dimensions of the batteries and take note of anything that may be written on the side of them, the size of the batteries are also specified below so you can confirm, these batteries are mainly constructed using lead and can be easily recycled, more information on recycling can be found at the foot of this page
