The batteries will be delivered with a good charge in them, but you still need to give them a full charge before using for the first time, while you only need to charge until the charger indicates that its finished it is very important and not a step you should overlook, do not miss out this important first step, it will help set them up and possibly extend the overall life expectancy of them
