The batteries will be delivered with a very good charge in them, but even so your you will still need to give them a full charge before using for the first time, the charger will have LED lights which will indicate whether it is still charging or not, you only need to charge them until they are ready, it probably will not take very long, you might just want to fit them and use, but that would be unwise, missing out on charging them first could shorten overall life expectancy
