The APC SUA3000RMI2U battery pack replacement has eight battery cells, this battery type requires no maintenance and if used in normal conditions has an expected battery life of between three to five years in this application. The batteries are valve-regulated sealed lead acid and will not leak. They can be mounted on their side without fear of spillage on this rack mounted or indeed any tower device. They are also very resilient to heat that may be present in a data communication room
