Your new batteries that we dispatch to you will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installing, with this in mind it follows that there is a certain period of time that the system is unable to offer its full runtime protection while it is doing this. you probably just want to install and go but its best to run the system without a load to so it can properly reset.
It would be fair to expect batteries to last somewhere between two to five years in this UPS, this will however very much depend on how they are used, ensure there is adequate ventilation around the device. do not block the vents. do not allow it to be used as a shelf to put files on. if the batteries overheat it shortens the life span, to get a long battery life you should try to keep the load below 40%, its capable much more but the pay off will be battery life.
The battery cells are constructed from absorbed glass mat technology or AGM, they are also valve regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA. this is the recommended type of battery for this installation, they will not leak if mounted on the side so safe to be used in a UPS tower or rack mountable configuration with fear of spillage in mission critical applications like a hospital or busy data centre as well as the home office.
