This battery is sealed AGM, it needs no maintenance, it does however need to be charged, if yours is going to spend all winter in a cold wet garage then the best advice to overcome draining by an alarm or other electrical device, or even a poor connection is to remove it from the bike and recharge every six weeks, we do not overly like always connect and forget chargers, although better than nothing at all they can cause early demise of battery if something goes wrong, far better to put it on until charged every six weeks or so.

Because this battery has dual terminals, one on every corner it makes it easier to fit in some motorbikes, and of course because its AGM it has no need for a vent pipe.
