These batteries are rechargeable, sealed lead, not-hazardous, non-spillable, safe for air travel and AGM which means they are also maintenance free but that does not mean you don’t have to charge them correctly. While there are many different myths about how to charge them if you follow these few simple steps they will last you a while. Firstly, fully charge upon delivery, before first use and most importantly after every time you use it but never for more than twenty four hours. Secondly, if the batteries won’t be in use for a four weeks then top up with charge and ideally never use the last twenty percent of the battery.

These would be able to offer more miles for every charge, but more importantly there will be more energy in the cells at the end of a days use. Changing the batteries is easy; turn the box on its back; there are eight screws and a longish handle Phillips PH1 screwdriver is the only tool you will need; lift the lid off and replace the batteries. They are normally held down with a bit of velcro, but it is really only a five- or ten-minute job.
