It also has durable rubber housing, reverse polarity & overload protection, heavy duty cable & clamps and battery charged/charging LED indicators. How to maintain your new battery
This emergency power source is frequently used by recreational users and therefore quite possible that the battery is neglected during the off season or winter months, causing it to slowly discharge. This is a common problem with rechargeable batteries and should be avoided. This will damage the battery over time, and if you leave it long enough, it will become useless, and you'll have to come back here to buy another one. To avoid this, charge your pack every six weeks to keep the cells fresh. This, of course, implies that your battery will be ready and operational the next time you require it. When the time comes that you have to use the jump starter for any reason then you must charge until full as soon as possible after.
Upgrading your batteries
This battery is 18ah and that is what would have been installed into the device already so its a direct replacement. We can however offer a 22ah upgrade and a dedicated jump starter battery that will do the job much better. They are the same physical size so will be easy to install however please note that the terminals will be bolt down instead of bolt across. Bolts and washers are supplied with any of these batteries and should be easy to install.
