There are numerous Back-UPS-950 models, and while most battery packs are interchangeable, not all are. So it is best to check the UPS's reverse to see which model this pack is for (BX950Ui, BX950MI or BX950U1). It's better to be safe than sorry, so if it says something different, use that code to search the website for the correct ones.

The BX950Ui requires a little more work to install new batteries than standard UPS units, but it is still a straightforward procedure that doesn't call for any special equipment. Ensure all power leads are disconnected, and any equipment this UPS is protecting is turned off before continuing.
Next, please remove the battery connector from the back of the device; you can tuck it away in the small recessed area above it. The four screws around the machine's edge should be taken out and stored. A label might cover the last one.
Three screws must now be removed, so proceed to the front of the machine and carefully pull off the UPS's front. Now that the device has been disassembled, two distinct batteries should be visible inside. Ideally, it would help if you used double-sided tape or something similar to attach these batteries to facilitate installation. After removing the cables from the old batteries, install the new batteries in their place. Reassemble the device in reverse order, using all the screws, and connect the wires to the fresh batteries.
This replacement battery pack is valve-regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA. It will not spill, can safely be mounted on its side and requires no maintenance.
