It is very important that you follow a few charging rules to keep your battery at its optimum working level. Upon receiving your new battery, be sure to fully charge it before first use. We do ship them fully charged, however some charge can be lost during transit. It is also important that you do not charge for longer than a twenty four hour period as this can be detrimental for the battery if left on for too long. You can then charge the battery after every use, and if it is left for longer periods of time not being used, for example in the winter months, and then a top-up charge every eight weeks will be required.
Batteries are recyclable, so do be sure to dispose of them correctly when they have been finished with. They cannot go into household waste as this typically goes into landfill, which may release harmful toxins and chemicals into the environment. You can help the environment by taking your old batteries to your local recycling centre, where the very valuable resource lead can be reused and disposed of in the correct manner.
