Charge your ScooterPac Savvy Defender & hardtop battery set when it arrives and before first use. You will probably find it takes up to fifteen cycles for the GEL (maybe ten for the AGM); that is, use it in your scooter and recharge before it can accept a full-capacity charge. This is quite normal; try to get into the habit of charging them after every use. It is far better to do that than to allow them to run down, and they will last much longer that way. If not used for long periods, top up every four or five weeks to keep the cells active.
