The batteries that we will send out to you will be almost fully charged, but the system will still need to finish off a full service charge, while this is going on the system will of course not be able to offer the full runtime backup time period until it has finished doing this, we know it is probably urgently being used but its best to run without a load to start so it can reset itself
You could certainly expect these batteries to last somewhere between two to five years in this UPS, this will however differ quite a lot depending on the use, sufficient ventilation is important, preferably in a air conditioned communications room, batteries will in general use get hot if the heat cannot disperse it will shorten life span, keep an eye on the load, do not have to many devices connected, if you can keep it below 40% it will last longer, while its more than capable of going higher it will be at the expense of the battery life
These are valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak so there is no problem installing in tower or rack systems as they can be fitted on their side, both AGM and VRLA, they are not-hazardous so safe for busy data centres as well of course as the home office
