Looking after your new Alligator battery replacement pack is important, these tools are often used seasonally so extra care should be made while they are not being used. Charge fully upon receipt and first use, you will note it may take several charges and associated use in your chainsaw before the battery is capable of accepting a full capacity charge, this is quite normal and part of the conditioning process but do try to achieve this quite early in the battery life. Charge after use and before putting away, if not being used for long periods then charge every eight weeks to counteract the natural self discharge that will occur. Do not leave on charger, just until its charged and never for more than 24-hours. Ni-CD batteries like to periodically have a full charging cycle so every few months ensure its rundown sufficiently to achieve this.
