Once you have added the APC SC620i battery to the shopping cart and you have received it, unpack it, and you will see a battery which will reassemble what you are going to be taking out of the UPS. It may have a pair of plastic terminal covers on, which are only to protect it and can be taken off.
Once you are ready, make sure that anything attached to the APC SC620 has been powered down and disconnected completely. Then shut down the UPS and remove the power lead from the mains power socket.
Put down a cloth of something to protect the case and turn the UPS on its back, you will then see a few Philip's screws underneath. undo these, flip the UPS back on its feet and you will be able to slide the cover off. revealing the battery pack, just swap it over for the new one and put back together.
We would advise you to run the UPS with the new battery in it without any load in it to begin with until the battery is fully charged, this will help to reset it.
