Your new batteries that we dispatch to you will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installing, with this in mind it follows that there is a certain period of time that the system is unable to offer its full runtime protection while it is doing this, if you can it would be best to allow the initial charge without any load to start, we know this may not be convenient in a lot of installations but that is best advise it's up to you whether you heed it
It would be fair to expect batteries to last somewhere between two to five years in this UPS, this unfortunately will be very dependent on the general conditions its put under, supplying adequate ventilation is important, the batteries are being continuously used the hotter they get the shorter the life span, keeping the load low will also help extend the life span, in a ideal world keep it below 40%, they are so often run to the edge of their capabilities, while they may be more than able to, it will be at the expense of the life span
These are valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak so there is no problem installing in tower or rack systems as they can be fitted on their side, both AGM and VRLA, they are not-hazardous so safe for busy data centres as well of course as the home office
