Charge your new Hoveround batteries fully when you receive them and their first use. Charge them after every use, and do not allow them to sit around in a discharged state for any longer than necessary. if you are not using the mobility device for long periods then a top-up charge every four weeks will help prolong battery life. It will take several uses in the mobility device and related charge before it will be able to accept a full capacity charge, this is quite a normal process that all rechargeable batteries go through.

Hoveround Mobility has been around for over twenty-five years and produces a number of associated equipment like scooters, powered wheelchairs, stairlifts, bed and bathroom devices and even vehicle power chair lifts, most of these will require new batteries in their life and are user replaceable.

AGM batteries are absorbed glass-mat. They combine the technology with valve-regulated lead acid or VRLA to produce a safe-to-use sealed battery that will not leak and is recommended by mobility scooter manufacturers. They can be used indoors as well as outdoors because they will not leak even on a travel scooter that might get put in the boot of a car on its side.
