These little 12v 0.8Ah size batteries are often found in alarm systems and portable monitoring equipment, as you can see from the picture, they have a lead and plug to make it easy to replace. As they are sealed and valve-regulated, they are very suitable for portable devices.

The 12v 0.8Ah size battery is a sealed lead-acid battery, or more commonly referred to as VRLA. It is also AGM (absorbed glass mat) and needs no maintenance other than charging. Usually, in alarm systems, there will be a constant mains power source to keep it charged, so you do not have to worry about that. Obviously, in portable devices, you will need to keep them charged; if not using them for long periods, then recharge them every month to keep them in the best condition.
