The Audi TT is a 2-seater roadster or 2+2 Coupe. It shares its chassis, suspension, running gear, engine, and gearbox layout with the then Audi A3 and Golf, so it could use proven technology much more quickly than would have been feasible. meaning that over the years, it was updated at a much faster rate than would have been possible if it were a standalone project, giving buyers of these cars much more value for money and access to the latest technology.

The earliest models received a lot of bad press over high-speed accidents that resulted in a number of fatalities. it appears to have been due to a handling issue under sharp turns of the steering wheel at speeds over 112mph. Both the roaster and coupes were recalled by Audi and rectified by fitting a rear spoiler and adapting the suspension and stability programs, which fixed the problems. Models made after the early 2000s had the changes already incorporated.

It has so far been run in three productions. The first was from 1998 to 2006; there were a number of minor facelifts during this period, and alternative models such as the Quattro-sport. The models had either the 1.8-litre or 3.2-litre V6 engines, with numerous gearbox options: 5- and 6-speed manual (the 6-speed was for the 225 BHP versions), 6-speed Tiptronic, or direct-shift. As for the drive, there were front-wheel and some 4-wheel drive options.

The second generation was launched in 2006. This model had some aluminium front panels. This improved the car's weight distribution. It was also 5 inches longer and 3 inches wider than its predecessor. There were several variants of the models, such as the S-Line, TDI-Quattro, TTS, TT-RS, and others. Much of the range became 4-wheel drive Quattro, and the S-Tronic gearbox in both 6- and 7-speed became available. Then, in 2014, the 3rd generation of the Marque was launched.

At its launch in 1988, the Audi-V8 was the top-of-the-range saloon and the first to have 4-wheel drive combined with an automatic transmission. it was also there first venture in to using a V8 engine, hence the name tag. this model was later replaced at the end of its production in 1993 with the S8, the engine was a 32-valve double overhead cam 3.6-litre which was replaced with a 4.2litre later in production with many luxury features fitted as standard and probably the start of elevating the name Audi to the recognised luxury brand it has since become.

You probably know when your Audi TT, TT-RS, TTS & V8 battery is on its way out. It slows down a little bit when you haven't used the car all weekend. That's the time to replace it, before the cold weather sets in, because it's a nightmare changing a car battery in the snow, believe me. We can also supply heavy-duty versions of some models. Just follow the links below to your model Audi. If you do not use the car often, a tip is to start it and run it at least once a week, as batteries can quickly become discharged on modern cars, what with alarm systems and the like, and a totally discharged car battery is the beginning of the end.
