This battery has a larger cold cranking capability than many of its counter parts, the cold cranking amps or more commonly known as CCA is the amount of amps a fully charged battery can produce from new in a 30-second period at zero-degrees Fahrenheit or 18-degrees centigrade keeping a 12v battery above 7.2v, it is a standardised test which may not directly reflect your needs but normally its the winter when you discover whether you need a new battery or not so its a fair measure.
This battery is manufactured with lead calcium technology which helps reduce the natural self discharge, overcharging which can lead to gassing and fluid loss ensuring better cold weather use helping to provide and longer life expectancy.
This battery is sealed so you will not be required to maintain it from that point of view, it cannot however be mounted on its side.
