The Ottobock B400 is a very compact power wheelchair that has impressively large batteries for its size. It comes with a range of optional options to tailor fit its user's indivual requirements. Some of these options include LED lighting, contoured seating, bluetooth integration and caster wheel suspension. Then of course, there are the power options which include electric seat tilt, recline and lift along with elevating leg rests.
Looking after your new battery is essential. The better care you take of it, the longer it will last and save you money in the long run. Charge your new Ottobock B400 batteries when they arrive and are first used. It will not take long as they will probably be almost fully charged. Recharge as soon as you are able after every use, it will do the battery no good whatsoever allowing them to sit is a discharged state. If the Ottobock B400 power chair is not being used for long periods then also recharge every five weeks to keep the cells fresh.
Please note it will take several uses in the power chair and related charge before the batteries are capable of receiving a full capacity charge. This is quite normal and part of the conditioning process that all rechargeable batteries will go through.
