This battery pack will fit all the cordless power tools and drills for this quite extensive Bosch product range. You should fully charge your new battery when it arrives and before first use. you will find it will take up to ten cycles of the battery before it will reach full charging capacity this is normal. If after the battery has been conditioned in this way you do not use it very often then make sure you give it a recharge every five weeks to keep the cells nice a fresh. this will help you extend your battery life overall, but do not leave it on the charger for more than twenty-four hours at a time, just until it's charged.
A question we get asked a lot is how do I know when it's charged? well because there a quite a few chargers it can be difficult, the larger ones will have a LED light on it, flashing green as its charging and then solid green when charged, unfortunately, the smaller push-on ones do not have this capability as they have no light and there are a few different designs, so in this case, we can only suggest that you charge overnight. A 0.5ah charger will charge a 1.5ah battery from flat in three hours, so you could look at the charger and see if it gives you an indication of amperage, some do, and that might make it easier for you.
