Please charge your new battery pack when you receive it and before first use. If you are a tradesman and use your tool regularly, then you are probably already looking after it the best way they like to be used. If you are a less frequent user, charge after every use and before putting away and if extended lack of use, then charge every eight weeks to overcome the natural self-discharge. Never leave it on the charger for more than twenty hours, as this can have a detrimental effect.
You will probably find that it will take several charges and associated use in your drill before the battery will be conditioned to accept a full capacity charge. This is quite normal.
