This Black & Decker Firestorm battery replacement is 14.4v, it is important to look after your rechargeable batteries while it's true they need no maintenance they do need charging, if you use them regularly all year round you will always get a better result than less frequent users, there are several things you can do to assist this issue.

Charge fully upon receipt and before first use. you will note that it will take several charges and use in your cordless power tool before it will be able to accept a full capacity charge. this is quite normal so try to use it a lot, to begin with, to get it up to full capacity. charge after use and before putting it away. if you are not using them for extended periods then recharge every ten weeks, possibly less if being stored in a cold damp garden shed but never leave on the charger for more than twenty-four hours, just until they are charged.
