The APC Smart-UPS RT-5000 with serial code of SURT5000XLI which you will find printed on a label on the reverse is a 5000VA 230v with 3500 watts and requires a battery module, this pack has sixteen 12v batteries, they require no maintenance and have an expected life span of 3-5 years in normal use, the batteries are leak proof and sealed.

The SURT5000XLI replacement battery pack may not be completely fully charged when delivered so remember after fitting there may be a short period when full battery backup protection is reduced until the system has cycled and charged the new batteries, ( they will almost be fully charged so it will not take long but it is something you should be aware of ).
These batteries have a very high lead content and are ideal for recycling so when they have eventually reached the end of their working life please ensure they are directed to a recycle centre to be processed into another product.
