Installing the new batteries in to the UPS is not a difficult job, certainly well within the reach of most people, you can refer to your user manual for the method if required, they are designed to be replaced, the ones we send to you will be almost fully charged but the UPS will still complete a service charge upon installation, until this charge has completed you will not have the full runtime protection available, our best advice would be charge the system without any load until fully charged if you have the opportunity, it helps reset to new energy level properly
You will find that some financial houses will change the batteries every year regardless, but you can expect a life span of between 2-5 years, this is not a set rule though life span will change depending on how they are used, one thing to make sure is the vents have access cool air, quite often they are tucked under desks or other such warm places with little ventilation, the batteries will get hot that's normal, but the hotter they are the shorter their lifespan will be, try and keep the constant load below 40%, while it may well be capable of much more it will shorten the battery life so it's a balancing act
These batteries will require no general maintenance whatsoever, this of course does not include charging, they are AGM and VRLA, they are also not-hazardous so safe to use in busy data centres or the home office, they can be used in rack mountable or tower systems as they will not leak if mounted on the side
