The batteries that you receive from us will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installation, this will of course mean that until its finished this operation you will not have a full backup runtime protection, if you have the opportunity, maybe of an evening, it will be best to run the system without a load to start so it can properly reset itself to the new energy level
A fair assumption of battery life in a UPS is between two to five years, the usage over time however will determine this, ensure there is plenty of ventilation around the device, do not cover the vents or place it next to a radiator, do not use it as a book shelf, if the batteries get to hot all the time it will shorten the life span, to get a long battery life you should try to keep the load below 40%, if you have added more devices over time this may have crept up, its capable much more but the pay off will be battery life so it's a balancing act
These batteries are absorbed glass mat, AGM and valve regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA for short, they require no maintenance and due to their internal chemistry can be mounted on the side in rack mounted or tower UPS systems without the fear of leakage, they are not-hazardous so can be used in busy data centres, hospitals and of course the home office.
