The Emerson Liebert GXT2000RT230 UPStation uninterruptible power supply is a 4U rack-mountable 2000VA, 1400-Watt UPS system.

These systems are often paired with extended cabinet battery modules; your overall system may include one or more. This is normally the GXT96VBATT but could be others. For your convenience, we have included a link below to batteries for that model as well.

Installing the batteries is not hard, refer to your manual for full instructions, however the basic steps are, if tower then you need to remove the top cover first, undo the two screws at the rear, slide the cover back and then the two screws at the front, then its the same as rack mounted, pull off the front bezel, undo the small battery door, disconnect the high voltage plug, then undo the big battery door, slide the batteries out about 50mm and undo the connector plug and pull out the batteries. Next step is cautionary: take a picture of the wiring with your phone-it's far better to have something to refer to if you get disturbed halfway through. Swap the batteries over and reverse the order. Allow 15 minutes to complete the job; maybe a bit more the first time.

Hot-swap-capable sealed lead-acid batteries (VRLA) are not spillable because AGM technology suspends the acid between the Pb plates in a glass matting, so there is no liquid to spill, making them easy to mount on the side and install in data centres.

These batteries are recyclable; when they reach the end of their life, they should be taken to a recycling point.

Expected life in such an application is between three and five years; this can differ with higher-than-average load or inadequate ventilation in the rack.
