The new batteries that we dispatch out to you will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to fulfil and complete a service charge after installing, this will of course mean that until its finished this operation you will not have a full backup runtime protection, our best advice would be charge the system without any load until fully charged if you have the opportunity, it helps reset to new energy level properly
Batteries used in this application would have expected life span of between two to five years, how it's used over time however will determine this, do not pile books or files on top of it, it needs good ventilation, batteries will get very hot, if the vents are blocked it will get hotter, the hotter it gets the shorter the life, the higher the constant load applied the harder its working which directly relates to battery life, if you can try to keep it below 40%
These batteries will require no general maintenance whatsoever, this of course does not include charging, they are AGM and VRLA, they are also not-hazardous so safe to use in busy data centres or the home office, they can be used in rack mountable or tower systems as they will not leak if mounted on the side
