The batteries that you receive from us will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installation, this will mean that during this short interim period the full runtime protection will not be available to be utilised until its finished, you will find its better to allow the system to run without load to start while it completes the first charge to reset the new battery energy level

Fitted in a UPS you could expect a battery life span of between 2-5 years, this will unfortunately be very dependent on the general conditions its put under, make sure the vents are not restricted it must have good ventilation, the batteries will get hot in general use, if they are allowed to run hot all of the time it will shorten life span, try and keep the constant load below 40%, while it may well be capable of much more it will shorten the battery life so it's a balancing act

This type of battery is valve regulated sealed lead acid, they need no maintenance, they will not spill and can be mounted on the side so suitable to be used in rack or tower UPS systems and not-hazardous so safe for mission critical installations
