The batteries that you receive from us will be almost fully charged, but your UPS will still need to complete a full service charge, you should be mindful that while this short charge time is still taking place you will not have the full runtime protection, our best advice would be to allow the system to run without load during the first charge to allow the new battery energy level to reset

Fitted in a UPS you could expect a battery life span of between 2-5 years, this will however rely on how they are used, ventilation is important, best placed to site would be in an air conditioned communications room, batteries will in general get hot if the heat cannot disperse it will shorten life span, the higher the constant load applied the harder its working which directly relates to battery life, if you can try to keep it below 40%

These batteries are absorbed glass mat, AGM and valve regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA for short, they require no maintenance and due to their internal chemistry can be mounted on the side in rack mounted or tower UPS systems without the fear of leakage, they are not-hazardous so can be used in busy data centres, hospitals and of course the home office.
