The batteries that you receive from us will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installation, of course while this charge going on your UPS will not be in a position to offer the full runtime protection until its finished this, our best advice would be to allow the system to run without load during the first charge to allow the new battery energy level to reset
You should expect a life span of between 2 to five years of batteries in a UPS, this is not a set rule though life span will change depending on how they are used, one thing to make sure is the vents have access cool air, quite often they are tucked under desks or other such warm places with little ventilation, the batteries will get hot that's normal, but the hotter they are the shorter their lifespan will be, keeping the overall load low will also help prolong the life span, in a ideal world keep it below 40%, many systems are run to the maximum of their capabilities, while they may be able to do this it will have a adverse effect on battery life.
