The batteries we send out will be almost fully charged, but the system will still want to finish off the full charge. Please note that while this is happening, the system will not be able to provide the full backup runtime until it's finished. While it may not always be convenient, it's best to run without load at the start so it can fully reset to the new energy level.
Batteries in this type of installation have an expected lifespan of 2 to 5 years. This can and will vary greatly depending on conditions; ventilation is important, preferably in an air-conditioned communications room. Batteries get hot; if heat can't dissipate, it shortens lifespan. Also, do not overload with devices. If you can keep the load below 40%, the system may be able to go higher, but it will work the battery cell harder, which shortens lifespan.
These batteries will require no general maintenance. They are AGM and VRLA. They are also non-hazardous. They can be used in rack-mountable or tower systems, as they will not leak if mounted on the side.
