General Electric has been around for a long time and they make a very wide range of products from aviation and healthcare to phones and lighting. They have been producing UPS systems for a while now and this page is for the replacement batteries needed by the General Electric Digital Energy VH series. This page is offering a pack of six 12v 9amp batteries to go in the following systems;
- GE VH-2000 battery
- GE VH-3000 battery
- GE VH-1500 battery
The batteries will be sent out to you almost fully charged but once you have installed the batteries (which is not a difficult job however you should refer to your manual for the method) the system will need to do a full service charge, during the course of this it will not be able to offer the full runtime backup period. You should try and run it without a load during this time so it can reset itself.
Batteries usually last 2-5 years in a system like this but this greatly vary depending on conditions. To maximise the life of the batteries you should keep the UPS system in a air conditioned area with plenty of ventilation and do not use it as a table.
Check the code on your system carefully to make sure you order the correct battery set, many of the codes are very similar so it's easy to make a mistake.
